Hike Among Giants: Mt. Velino (2487m) – Abruzzo (Parco Regionale Sirente-Velino)
Join us for an unforgettable hike to Monte Velino, the highest peak in the Sirente-Velino range, known for its dramatic ascents and breathtaking summit views from the Gran Sasso to the Tyrrhenian Sea. This challenging adventure includes a unique route through Monte Cafornia, offering the chance to conquer two summits and revel in panoramic ridgelines, deep karst valleys, and unspoiled natural beauty.
Starting from the historic village of Massa d’Albe, you’ll ascend rapidly into the awe-inspiring Apennines. Designed for well-trained hikers, this trek demands excellent fitness and mountain experience, as it features steep climbs, loose rock, and exposed sections, with no water sources en route.
