Join us for our very first rucking event, where fitness meets an urban city hike through Rome! This event is perfect for everyone, including first-time ruckers—no need to start with heavy weights. One of the best things about rucking is its flexibility; you can begin with light weights and increase gradually at your own pace. To help you get the most out of the experience, we’ll have both a fitness coach and a nutritionist on hand to provide expert guidance. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to explore the city, get fit, and be part of a growing community!

Duration: about 3 hours (the exact time varies, depending on the weather conditions and participants)

The starting point is: S. Giovanni (the precise starting point, and meeting point for car pooling, will be communicated in your confirmation email)
ℹ️ Meeting time 15 minutes prior to departure.
ℹ️ Language: English, German, Italian
ℹ️ Difficulty Level: Easy to difficult (Distance: 8km, the difficulty level depends on the weights in your backpack – for beginners we recommend no more than 3 kg to get started)
ℹ️ The final duration of the hiking event and the itinerary may vary, depending on weather conditions, unexpected obstacles (e.g. a fallen tree along the way), or other safety reasons. It is at the discretion of the professional hiking guide to determine alternatives or to shorten or extend the experience.
This is a professional activity in accordance with European Union legislation and Italian law no. 4 dating to 2003.
Sal is a professional guide enrolled in the register of the Italian Association of Interpretive Nature Guides – AIGAE.
What should you bring?
Obligatory: Hiking shoes, 1.5 liters of water, backpack, weights for your backpack
Recommended: Hat, protection from sun, comfortable backpack, raincoat, trail snacks
Optional: Electrolytes, sunglasses

Who is the guide?
Sal, a certified outdoor guide (member of AIGAE), leads this tour. He’s also a former Komoot route editor and a National Geographic Day Tour guide. His mission is to make information about the Italian outdoors and wilderness experiences accessible to everyone and to promote a healthier lifestyle and connection with nature.
