To celebrate the launch of its brand, Project Six Ten, a new platform for emerging artists, has curated an immersive, multi-sensory event inspired by the impermanence of the human experience. Focused on themes of fluidity, connection, and transformation, the event aims to ignite a river of ideas and creativity through various mediums: art, sound, movement, and light. As participants engage with the space, they will naturally transform the experience in a push-and-pull of energetic exchange with the artwork, each other, and themselves, mirroring the natural flow of water and waves.
The title, ‘Fresco,’ refers to the technique of painting on wet plaster, where the interplay of water and pigment creates a vibrant, shifting image. Similarly, this series explores the fluid interactions between art and movement. Through a combination of curated art shows, live painting, performance pieces, community engagement, and mindfulness experiences, ‘Fresco’ embodies Project Six Ten’s mission to foster spaces where creativity and community thrive in body, mind, and spirit.
International artists and healers, chosen for their unique perspectives and dedication to their crafts, are featured throughout the series. Set against the dynamic backdrop of the piazza—a spiritual representation of water and pulsating energy—the event offers a journey that transcends the ordinary.
The featured artist, Akis Oulkeroglou, will present a collection that delves into themes of impermanence and fluidity. Drawing inspiration from Heraclitus’ concept of constant change, Oulkeroglou’s work reflects the continuous flow and transformation inherent in life. His technique employs pigments that drip and traverse the canvas, guided by gravity, creating a visual dialogue between stability and flux. This approach underscores the transient nature of existence while also maintaining a connection to classical art forms. Oulkeroglou’s paintings invite viewers to contemplate the eternal cycle of life and energy, offering a contemporary perspective on traditional themes.
Hosted by Supernova, Project Six Ten‘s aim is for ‘Fresco’ to democratize access to art and culture, showcasing emerging and independent artists and injecting unique, differentiated experiences into the Roman landscape. By engaging in this immersive exploration, participants are invited to reflect on the transformative power of art and creativity, fostering connections and inspiring new possibilities.
