Hike from Frascati to Monte Tuscolo

Take in the beautiful surroundings of Frascati while learning about the Irish connection with Italy, as well as local myths and legends! Discover the enchanting beauty of the Castelli Romani Regional Park.

Where:  Frascati (the exact meeting point will be announced after confirmation)
When: Saturday, March 11th @9.45am
Time: about 4.5 hours (the exact time varies, depending on weather conditions and participants)
Cost: Full price: € 35 (train ticket not included).
Members of the Expats community will receive a discount of -30% (24,50€).

Expect an outdoor adventure with amazing people from around the world, get a chance to mingle after the event in Frascati, and explore the flora and fauna of the Parco Regionale dei Castelli Romani, while learning surprising facts about the Irish connection with Rome.

▶ This experience begins and finishes at the train station “Frascati”
▶ Difficulty Level: Medium (Distance: ~9 kilometers, Elevation gain: 320m, Includes uneven terrain)
▶ Suited for families. Children (14+) must be accompanied by adults.

ℹ️ The final duration of the hike and the itinerary may vary, depending on weather conditions, unexpected obstacles (e.g. a fallen tree along the way), or other safety reasons. It is at the discretion of the professional hiking guide to determine alternatives or to shorten or extend the experience.

What do I need to bring?

🟢 Obligatory: Hiking boots, 1.5 liters of water, clothing suited for an outdoor hike, backpack, bring your own hiking lunch
🟡 Recommended: Comfortable backpack, raincoat, sunscreen, hat (protection from both sun and rain), trail snacks, tickets for public transport
🟠 Optional: Hiking poles, electrolytes, sunglasses

Who is the guide?
This tour is lead by Sal, a certified outdoor guide (member of AIGAE). He’s also a Komoot route editor and a National Geographics Day Tour guide at TUI. His mission is to make information about the Italian outdoors and wilderness experiences accessible to everyone and to promote a healthier lifestyle and connection with nature.
