Just a tip about getting your FirstMed Personal Value Card: take one and put it in a safe place, as it entitles you to discounts on various medical services in the clinic.

Most people think private medicine is expensive, but it depends. Some costs are comparable to the Italian public healthcare system ( ASL) and the big difference is that you get faster service, which is why we recommend going to FirstMed. If you schedule your appointment through the ASL, you might have to wait weeks or months! Most private centers will give you an appointment within in 2 days, with prices starting at €45.00.  The ASL ticket may cost as little €20.00, but you might have to wait 4 (or more…) clueless hours if you are going to your appointment (for which no one knows you’ve already arrived because you are still in line waiting to pay the cashier), and service is not guaranteed in English!

It’s best be aware of all your options, and we can’t say enough about FirstMed. Otherwise, be prepared to ask for details and specific information before making an appointment with the ASL.

On Tuesday you will meet new people and network with international folks. Don’t be shy! Most people come alone the first time and we will introduce you to others.  Fun professionals from all over the world are waiting to connect with you. This event attracts everyone and firstmed team will be there to also greet and meet you!

What kind of people attend our event? All ages from 18 years old to our retired expats and we blend in fine together. We have 60 to 100 people that attend and it’s best to always reserve. If you do not receive our newsletter it’s a good idea to sign up here.
