Metro Line B1 in Rome Closed for Maintenance in September and October

Between September 28th and October 1st, significant improvements are planned for Metro Line B and Bus services along Line B1. These initiatives encompass essential maintenance activities and preparations for the prestigious Ryder Cup event.
One notable change during this period is the provision of bus services for the four stations along Line B1, from Bologna to Jonio. Twenty state-of-the-art shuttles will operate at five-minute intervals, ensuring minimal disruption for commuters.
Eugenio Patanè, the Mobility Assessor of Rome Capital, has also provided insights into the preparations for the upcoming Ryder Cup event. Anticipating a significant increase in traffic on Line B during this globally renowned golf competition, Atac will introduce a metropolitan service along the Laurentina-Rebibia route with a five-minute frequency. The Ryder Cup, renowned as one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events, will host over 270,000 spectators, marking its debut in Rome from September 28th to October 1st. The event will take place at the Golf Club Marco Simone, situated in the city’s northeast quadrant within the territory of Guidonia Montecelio.
Additionally, on September 29th and 30th, the commencement of service on the Laurentina-Rebibia route and the replacement service for Line B1 will both start at 4:30 a.m. Key stations, especially Ponte Mammolo, will have Atac personnel available to assist customers and provide information, ensuring a seamless travel experience during the Ryder Cup.
