Want to learn to make gnocchi? We are cooking together with Silva. She will show us how to make potato gnocchi  from scratch! Gnocchi is not pasta. It is actually a dumpling made out of potatoes. You can serve gnocchi with a variety of sauces and toppings such as cheese, tomato sauce, cream or pesto, just like pasta.  Silvia will show us how to make “Gnocchi alla sorrentina” a dish from the Campania region that’s most famous both in Italy and abroad. The gnocchi alla sorrentina are then enveloped in a creamy tomato and basil sauce, jazzed up with mozzarella and grated cheese… Just the ingredients that make gnocchi even nicer by creating a stringy cheese effect after being heated for a short time in the oven. To put a different twist on this dish, try making zucchini gnocchi instead of the classic dough with potatoes. Come and make some gnocchi alla sorrentina with us!

What can you expect? A fun day together cooking together, meeting new people and then having a nice lunch together. If the weather is nice we can use the rooftop terrace.

Where: Community House Trastevere on  Via Portuense 104 ( complete address given during reservations) It’s a large apartment with a rooftop.

Cost:  €20 ( learn to make gnocchi and also have lunch together + drinks)

Please do not participate if you have symptoms of respiratory infections and / or fever and / or know that you have had contact with people with COVID-19 in the previous two weeks, nor of course if you are positive for COVID-19.

We have to take precautions, like socially distanced seating, cleanliness and follow the CDC and Italian government guidelines. Those that do not respect the guidelines will not be invited back.
