Expats Day Trip to Bagnoregio “The Dying Town” March 15

Expats Living in Rome has organized a bus ride to visit the famous medieval town, cast aside and isolated on the tufa hill in the Municipality of Bagnoregio, nearby Rome.  It is known as “The Dying Town” due to the years of erosion underway at the base of the tufa hill in the valley below by two streams, wind, and rain. This small, quaint village was originated by the Etruscans more than 2,500 years ago, with development spanning back several hundred years.  Remnants of the Etruscans can be found in the Etruscan caves, at the east end of the town, and the Romanesque Arch, at the entrance to Civita. Tickets are 25 euros and can be purchased on our website
