A unique botanical collection, composed of roses from all over the world. It will be possible to admire it with the reopening of the Municipal Rose Garden, starting from Sunday, April 21, on the occasion of Rome’s birthday.
The garden overlooking the Circus Maximus is divided into two sections: the larger one hosts a collection of about 1,200 varieties of roses, including botanical, ancient, and modern ones, while the smaller one is dedicated to the prestigious International Competition “Premio Roma per le Nuove Varietà,” now in its 82nd edition, which takes place in May.
The collection is enriched every year with new varieties of roses, a heritage managed daily with care and passion by the technicians of the Garden Service, on an area of approximately 10 thousand square meters.
The Municipal Rose Garden will be open to the public every day until Sunday, June 16 (via di Valle Murcia 6), from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm, admission is free (no reservation required).
