If you ever wondered what it felt like to hike through Rome 2000 years ago, then this Urban hike is for you!
Start in the hip and trendy neighborhood Pigneto and follow an ancient aqueduct, which will lead us to the so-called “Parco degli Acquedotti” – an epic, ancient Roman park where you’ll experience a surreal mix of nature and several ancient aqueducts, and on days with good weather, a beautiful mountain backdrop.
Where: This experience is one-way and will begin at the Subway Station Pigneto (C-Line) and finish close to the Subway station “Giulio Agricola” (A-Line).
When: Saturday, June 15th @ 8.30am
Time: about 3 hours (the exact time varies, depending on the weather conditions and participants)
Cost: Full price: 25€ – 30% discount for Expat members (read below) – public transport ticket not included
The maximum amount of participants is limited to: 10

ℹ️ Difficulty Level: Easy (Distance: 9km/5 miles, includes uneven terrain)
ℹ️ The final duration of the hiking event and the itinerary may vary, depending on weather conditions, unexpected obstacles (e.g. a fallen tree along the way), or other safety reasons. It is at the discretion of the professional hiking guide to determine alternatives or to shorten or extend the experience.
This is a professional activity in accordance with European Union legislation and Italian law no. 4 dating to 2003.
Sal is a professional guide enrolled in the register of the Italian Association of Interpretive Nature Guides – AIGAE.
What should you bring?
Obligatory: Comfortable hiking shoes, 1.5 liters of water, clothing suited for an outdoor hike, backpack
Recommended: Comfortable backpack, raincoat, sunscreen, hat (protection from both sun and rain), trail snacks, tickets for public transport
Optional: Hiking poles, electrolytes, sunglasses

Who is the guide?
Sal, a certified outdoor guide (member of AIGAE), leads this tour. He’s also a former Komoot route editor and a National Geographic Day Tour guide. His mission is to make information about the Italian outdoors and wilderness experiences accessible to everyone and to promote a healthier lifestyle and connection with nature.
